Hunter Svetanics has worked in the marine industry since 2017 with Johnson Marine Services. After working for 2 years in 2019 Hunter started a new branch in the company based around aerial surveying and imagery with the use of drones. Since then, Hunter has provided the customers of Johnson Marine Services with quality aerial photography and detailed inspections of vessels and facilities. Here's a sample of the work Hunter has done.
Verret Shipyard was one of the first customers to be interested in Hunter's aerial photography. Wanting weekly photos on the new construction of the towboat, Daniel Wisner. Then filming the launch of the vessel in coordination with the McKinney Tow and Salvage crew. Additionally, Hunter took inspection photos of the vessels that would lay on drydock while being repaired. As well as photographing and monitoring the shipyard watershed patterns as the canal rises and falls throughout the seasons.
Hunter has worked with the McKinney Salvage & Heavy Lift crew on different incidents in the Marine Industry. Conducting damage surveys and investigations along the Mississippi River and the surrounding waterways. Documenting and monitoring the clean up process, and keeping detailed logs of the incident.Â
Alongside Johnson Marine Services, Hunter volunteers with the U.S.S. KIDD (DD-661) Veterans Museum helping document the inspection process and taking promotional photos during events on the vessel. Filming the Aerial footage of the U.S. Marine Forces Reserve Band performance for the virtual 4th of July celebration in 2020. As well as doing promotional material on the U.S.S. KIDD social media for the movie Greyhound which was filmed on the ship and a presentation on how the Mississippi River watershed affects the U.S.S. KIDD.
